Not surprisingly I don't sleep well for the second night in a row. I'm so anxious to get home to Marcia and the girls that I can't sleep - for the first time on this trip! I
take a cold shower, of course, because the hot water timer at our B+B isn't set for our early hour. We are up at 5:45 a.m., and I hadn't thought to request an early hot water setting the night before, something that is difficult to remember if you're an American. We have some tea and cereal, and at 6:30 a.m.
our van is at our door. As usual, nothing is happening at Shannon Airport until after 7:00 a.m. when our sleepy little clerk checks us in. I get a bottle of Power whiskey at the duty free store, and we have a smooth flight to Gatwick. We receive the bad news when we arrive at NW Airlines check in desk at Gatwick. Our flight has been delayed 2 hours, and I have been booked on a later flight out of Detroit. If all goes well, I'll be home two
hours later than scheduled. Fingers are crossed. We arrive in Kalamazoo at 10:00 p.m. All is well. Fini. |
